I've always regretted not playing music to my belly when Olivia was still in there. They say it's good for the baby and it gets the baby to be more in tune with music. So to make up for it, I've been singing to her since she was a newborn while feeding her. Just simple tunes. I'd look up the lyrics on my phone and warble it out to her. I was very hesitant singing to her, afraid that she'd become accustomed to off-beat, off-key songs. But better than nothing I suppose?!
As she got older, I'd sing Twinkle Little Star, ABC's (never realized they had the same melody until now) and Itsy-Bitsy Spider. To help correct her ear I'd diligently play Baby Einstein classical cd every morning. But she seems to love her ABC's. I'd notice she'd make noise (I'd like to think it's her singing) when she hears the ABC song.
Below is a movie of 3 ABC sessions taken all in a row. Decided to compile all 3 to show that it's not a fluke that she "sings" to ABCs! Please excuse the cinematography as I was self videoing with the help of the couch cushion..haha.
